Google Street View's tour of the Amazon
Since 2007, Google maps has given us the ability to see our neighborhoods as they are in real time, but google's techies aren't satified. Thats why they came up with the virtual tours! Google began using its software to offer virtual tours of famous historical sites (Pompeii, Stonehedge, and Versailles) and then international museums, ranging from the MoMA and Met in New York City, to the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, and the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. But now, their taking it a bit further.
Today, Google announced that Street View will let you experience the beauty and diversity of the Amazon basin.
