RELEASE THE FALCONS!!!

French Open organisers have determined that their growing pigeon problem has put most to the edge.

Their solution? Why, its Falcons!
The French Tennis Federation has enlisted eight of the birds, that can fly at up to 300km/h, with the task of keeping the pigeons away. Why you ask?
It is believed that on clay, pigeon droppings can change the way the ball moves in the air.

Romney’s iPhone app gets no applause from 'Amercia'!

Republican Mitt Romney says he is running for president in search of a better America. Too bad he didn't look for a better speller.

The campaign helping Romney released an iPhone app late Tuesday that features slogans and pictures supporting his campaign against President Barack Obama.

“We’re With Mitt,” read one. “American Greatness,” declared another. “A Better Amercia,” proclaimed a third slogan, a misspelling that almost instantly became the subject of jokes all throughout the internet.

Editorial Review: This week's winners & losers in the news

This article was about all of the major and not so major stories of the news like the Woodburn bank bombing and the attempted forging of one's own academic credentials.

I found this to be full of knowledge, but not really an opinion clearly added.

Editorial Review: Saluting heroes in customer service

This article was about the author giving thanks to those who work within the custom service part in our economy.

I found this article to be inspiring, mainly because of all the sort of things that people who do customer service work have to put up with.

Editorial Review: Airport security a confusing experience for traveler

This article was about how ridiculous it was when the author of the article had a small Swiss Army knife connected to a very normal key chain and was threatened to be arrested by the airport police on his/her way to Washington D.C..

I found this sort of thing to be over the top. Its not like someone is going assassinate the president with a Swiss Army Knife.

Editorial Review: Students look with Fresh Eyes

This article was about a group of third and fourth graders who, with their fairly persistent teacher Amanda Johnson, were able to visit the Statesmen journal offices in order to learn more about journalism.

The article was describing how good it was for more younger kids to go out and look into the lives of every day journalist and I would agree.

How good is he?

An interesting new analysis reveals British MI6 agent, and probably the world's most 'shot after' spy, James Bond, has dodged a total of 4,662 bullets during his 22-film long Hollywood career.
A formulaic report in New Scientist attempts to explain how hired killers missed someone as big as Sean Connery and slow as Pierce Brosnan.

"A static well-aimed shot would almost certainly have proved lethal, but assuming all 4662 were ‘on the run’, the probability of a single fatal shot is about 5 percent. That is, the chance of a single shot missing is 0.95, and hence the probability of all shots missing is 0.954662 or 1.4 × 10-104, which is as close to zero as makes no difference."

To factor in the values, another statistic says Bond has had over 130 attempts on his life. And he's finished off a total of 198 villains.

Health pills made of dead infants found in South Korea

Recently, a health pill coming from china and went through South Korea seem to have a rather nasty secret ingredient. That would be none other than the ground up carcass of baby infants.

"This is gross, as well as creepy," said Dr. William Schaffner, chairman of preventive medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, who consults regularly with the Centers for Disease Control.
"We have no idea how this material is processed and under what circumstances," he said. "If it's not done in a hygienic fashion to make assurances infections are excluded, it could contain viruses as well as bacteria."

Texting the theaters?!

Some theaters, after last weeks CinemaCon, are beginning to consider loosening their restrictions of cell phone usage in movie theaters! Some believed that by being more flexible with texting during movies, they could attract more young people to come and see movies. I believe that to be a awefully stupid. I hate this .

Throughout the exhibit, you must wear a wristband that records all the choices you make and through how you answer them, determines what race you would be within the star wars saga.

Microsoft's new partnership with Barnes & Nobles

Microsoft decided to partner up with Barns and Nobles to make a new e-book, called the Nook. Their new 300 million deal leads the Nook to a quick catch up to amazon and apple. Funniest thing is that the Nook is already considered worth 9 million dollars more than Barns and Nobles as a whole.
